Because I'm tired and can't be bothered coming up with creative titles, I'm going to pretend I'm a technical writer and use titles that make this post blatantly easy to navigate. Civilisation is such fun...
Note: There are a lot of photos in this post, and some are quite large so you can see details. Depending on your internets, this post may take a while to load.
Muesli bars
These actually worked out really well, even though it took forever to shape them into muesli-bar forms. They were incredibly crumbly and look about as tasty as - well, I'm sure you can come up with a few descriptions - but they were incredibly tasty. I'd never considered using dates as a base for a snack food before, but they're filling and yummy, and the texture is slightly reminiscent of chocolate. Next time I'm going to try soaking the dates first, or adding some different ingredients.
Meetings
Last Friday night I went to a blogger's meet-up, and had a grand time (and delicious Riesling) with Andrea, Ally, Charlie, Hannah, Holly, and Lauren. When I got home I felt inspired to blog a bit more often, and then my flatmate said "But you only post every six months! How did you count as a blogger?" I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it's because I post every six months (but really because Andrea invited me. Thanks, Andrea!). Anyhoodles, there will be attempts to blog more regularly, even if the posts themselves are much shorter.
Graffiti
I'm a big fan of graffiti as an art form, and every now and then I come across some that makes me wish I had wicked mad skillzzzzz with spraypaint cans. Sometimes it's just taggers fooling around, sometimes it's Project Legit stuff. I kept seeing these while going for coffee and decided that one day when I wasn't at work, I'd grab my camera and take photos. So on Saturday I got out my one and only vintage dress, scrabbled around for my camera and bussed off into the sun.
This one is next to the Bus Xchange. I'm pretty sure it was commissioned by one of the streetwear shops nearby.
Near Cashel Mall, and probably done by the same person as...
Unfortunately the van was a pretty permanent fixture. Is it just me, or does the cartoon figure look a little like Calvin and Hobbes?
This one was done on paper with vivid and had a note next to it...
...Which had a curious message:

Yeah, I chopped about half of a 50g bar of dark chocolate in to it. You can add pretty much anything to them (well, a kitchen sink or a rubber duck might be a little tricky...).
