You know you're over study when...

  • You cut out the conclusion of your final report (worth 60%) in the interests of "brevity".
  • You have to develop an outline of a powerpoint presentation, and instead of using real text you fill the spaces with obscure movie references.
  • You're so tired that your mates all think you're drunk.
  • You stop at random points of your study and yell "I just want my evenings and weekends back!" at the wall. You wait for the wall to talk back.
  • You form an intimate, yet unhealthily dependant relationship with your computer.
  • You write up your final assignment in a pub... two and a bit hours before it's due... while drinking Guinness and Kilkenny.
  • Your project partner turns up half an hour late to a meeting and you don't even care.
  • Your meetings are twice as long because you spend the first half sitting in a stunned, eye-glazed fashion bitching about the project.
  • You try to write a post about how you know when you're over study and ... feh.
Now I know this is one list you all want to add to. Go on - make it the most comprehensive list on the internets!

Sorry, can't help. I was listening to some friends talk about their theses last night and found myself itching to be back!

you know you're over work when:
you want to go study again.

I wonder if it's possible to plan life such that you can actually switch between the two (work and study) every five or ten years, just to mix things up a bit. Difficult obviously, but maybe with some forethought.

I'm certainly not over study but I can add
- you have checked for an update to the (news/comic site/facebook) multiple times knowing nothing new will be there

Kat and Jim: yeah, I remember those days. I think switching between study and work would be awesome, just not the two together (worst of both worlds, sadly).

Andrea: *sigh* brainless jobs :)

Alethea: is it a little sad that I still do that when I get home from work out of habit from my studying days?
